Woman struck during home invasion

DSP logoFELTON, DELAWARE (7/21/2015) A 42-year-old woman was struck in the head during a home invasion south of Felton, Delaware State Police said this morning.

The incident happened about 11 p.m. Monday in the 5000 block of Little Mastens Corner Road.

The victim was in her bedroom and walked into the living room after hearing a noise, police said, when she was confronted by two intruders – a man and a woman.

The man, holding a handgun, grabbed the resident and demanded drugs.

The resident tried to use her phone but the intruders took it from her and struck her with an unknown object.

The intruders then fled and police were called.

The victim suffered minor injuries and declined treatment.

The intruders were both white and 30-40 years old, police said. No other description was available.
