Brandywine Hundred fire causes $250,000 damage to home

BRANDYWINE HUNDRED, DELAWARE (7/13/2015) A fire caused $250,000 damage to a home in the Weldin Park neighborhood this morning, according to the Delaware State Fire Marshal’s office.

Flames were shooting from the home when Talleyville Fire Company arrived in the first block of Weldin Park Drive shortly after 6 a.m., said Michael Chionchio, assistant state fire marshal.

He said deputy fire marshals are on the scene trying to determine how the fire started.

No injuries were reported.
