Greenwood man charged after gun fired in Milford

MILFORD, DELAWARE (6/19/2015) A Greenwood man was arrested after firing a gun during a domestic dispute, Milford police reported Thursday.

Robert G. Cook, 47, had been involved in an argument at a home in the 100 block of N.W. Front St. on Sunday when he obtained a handgun and pointed it at individuals involved, Detective Dwight Young said.

“As other individuals attempted to subdue Cook and remove the handgun from his possession, Cook fired a round from the handgun barely missing the individuals,” Young said. “They then attempted to hold Cook down until the Milford police arrived.”

Young said two children, ages 3 and 7 months, were present.

Cook was charged with reckless endangering, aggravated menacing, possession of a firearm during commission of a felony and felony endangering the welfare of a child.

He was being held at Sussex Correctional Institution near Georgetown in lieu of $32,500 cash bond.
