Motorcyclist dies after Cape Henlopen State Park crash

CAPE HENLOPEN STATE PARK, DELAWARE (6/13/2015) A 42-year-old man has died after a motorcycle crash at Cape Henlopen State Park, and officials are asking witnesses to come forward with information about the crash.

The accident happened about 8:35 p.m. Thursday on Cape Henlopen Drive near the main beach pavilion.

Wyatt L. Neumann, of New York City, was southbound on a Harley Davidson XL1200X.

Neumann lost control and fell off the bike, striking his head on the pavement, according to Natual Resources Police.

He was taken by ambulance to Beebe Healthcare’s hospital in Lewes, then flown by state police helicopter to Christiana Hospital in Stanton. Neumann died at Christiana on Friday afternoon.

He was not wearing a helmet.

The accident is being investigated by Natural Resources Police and Delaware State Police.
