VIOLA, DELAWARE (6/11/2015) A Magnolia woman has died from injuries she received in a scooter crash west of Viola earlier this week, Delaware State Police said tonight.
The woman killed was identified as 48-year-old Deborah M. Baker.
She was driving a 2015 Honda Forza south on Firetower Road and attempting a left turn onto West Evens Road about about 4:15 p.m. Sunday when she lost control of the scooter and slid into a ditch on the southeast corner of the intersection, police said.
Baker was taken by state police helicopter to Christiana Hospital in Stanton, where she died on Wednesday.
State police are still investigating the accident.
