Woman killed in crash west of Dover identified

DOVER, DELAWARE (6/8/2015) A 37-year-old Hartly woman died and a man was injured in a crash west of Dover this afternoon, Delaware State Police said.

The woman killed was identified as Angela R. Fugate.

The accident involving two vehicles happened about 2:10 p.m. on Hazlettville Road just east of Pearsons Corner Road.

Police said Fugate was driving east in a 2000 Saturn SL entering a moderate right curve when for unknown reasons she crossed into the westbound lane.

The Saturn was struck in the left side by a westbound 2006 Pontiac Montana, driven by Anthony J. Dellraria, 68 of Camden.

Both vehicles spun around, with the Saturn stopping in the eastbound lane and the Pontiac in the westbound lanes.

Fugate, who police said was not wearing a seat belt, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Dellraria, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken by ambulance to Bayhealth Kent General Hospital. Police said he was admitted with injuries not life-threatening.

Hazlettville Road was closed about three hours as police investigated and the wreckage was cleared.
