REHOBOTH BEACH, DELAWARE (5/24/2015) A man robbed a Capital One Bank branch near Rehoboth Beach on Saturday, Delaware State Police said.
The crime happened just after noon at 19268 Old Landing Road — adjacent to the Rehoboth Mall and Walmart store on Route 1.
Police said the robber approached a teller – a 23-year-old woman – and handed her a note demanding cash. The man implied he had a gun but none was shown.
She turned over an undisclosed amount of money and the robber fled.
No one was injured.
Police said the robber was black, 20-25 years old, about 5-feet-7 and weighing 140-150 pounds. He was wearing a brown jacket, blue jeans, brown hat and glasses.
