591 bags of heroin seized, 5 arrested in Dover

DOVER, DELAWARE (5/21/2015) A 22-year-old Dover man was arrested and charged with dealing heroin in the Capitol Green area, city police said this morning. Four people who allegedly made drug deals with him also were arrested.

The arrest of Eric Gray happened about 6:30 p.m. Tuesday after officers observed him conduct two drug transactions in the area of 455 New Castle Ave., Cpl. Mark Hoffman said.

He was taken into custody and then officers found 591 bags of heroin in the home as well as $2,724 in suspected drug proceeds, Hoffman said.

Gray was charged with possession of heroin in Tier 5 quantity, possession with intent to deliver heroin and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Gray was being held at Vaughn Correctional Center near Smyrna in lieu of $70,000 cash bond.

Police also arrested these four they said made drug deals with Gray:

  • Dillion Parrish, 24, of Tower Road, Wyoming, was charged with possession of heroin and drug paraphernalia.
    He was released on $750 Secured Bond
  • Theresa Butcher, 40,  of 1061 S. Little Creek Road in Dover East Estates, was charged with possession of heroin and drug paraphernalia and conspiracy.
  • Heather Grow, 24, of the 400 block of Main St. in Little Creek, was charged with possession of heroin and drug paraphernalia and conspiracy. Police said they also confiscated $3,251 in cash from her.
  • Javon Richardson, 23, of Pinewood Acres in Dover, was charged with possession of crack cocaine and drug paraphernalia.
