Suspect arrested in Dover shooting

DOVER, DELAWARE (4/29/2015) A 20-year-old man has been arrested and charged with shooting a man three times on Tuesday, Dover police said early today.

The shooting happened about 3 p.m. in the 100 block of S. Queen St.

Marquis Boyer-Smith, of the 400 block of New Castle Ave. in Dover, was arrested after he was seen fleeing the shooting on downtown police surveillance cameras, Cpl. Mark Hoffman said.

He was charged with assault, possession of a firearm during commission of a felony and reckless endangering.

Boyer-Smith was being held at Vaughn Correctional Center near Smyrna in lieu of $84,000 cash bond.
