DOVER, DELAWARE (3/20/2015) Dover police are trying to locate a 22-year-old man who tried to rob the Old Navy store at the Dover Mall last month and beat an employee before fleeing, authorities said.
The incident happened about 5:15 p.m. Feb. 14.
Cpl Mark Hoffman said a man later identified as Deandre Harris of Dover placed various clothing items in a bag and attempted to leave the store when a male employee stood in front of him.
Harris allegedly threw the employee to the ground and punched him multiple times in the head and face.
The merchandise was left behind when he fled, Hoffman said.
Harris is sought on a warrant charging him with attempted robbery, offensive touching and disorderly conduct.
