WILMINGTON, DELAWARE (3/2/2015) A 49-year-old man shot in the shoulder flagged down Wilmington police officers just before midnight Sunday at 22nd and Spruce streets, authorities said.
New Castle County paramedics treated the victim at the scene and he was taken by ambulance to Christiana Hospital in stable condition.
Police said the man was driving his vehicle when he was approached by several boys at his driver’s side window.
One of the juveniles fired a handgun at him once before the victim drove off and found police.
The incident is still under investigation to determine the exact location and circumstances, police said.
