Dover police seize 143 bags of heroin, gun; 2 arrested

DOVER, DELAWARE (2/13/2015) A stolen gun and 143 bags of heroin were seized and two men arrested at a home in Dover, city police said this morning.

The arrests happened about 1 p.m. Tuesday when officers searched a home in the first block of Stevenson Drive in the Manchester Square development.

Officers also seized 9 ecstasy pills, Lt. David Spicer said.

Jahmelle Taylor, 22, of the 100 block of President Drive, was charged with possession of a firearm by a person prohibited, possession with intent to deliver heroin and ecstasy, endangering the welfare of a child and related drug and weapons counts.

The weapon was a .25 caliber handgun reported stolen in state police jurisdiction in the Georgetown area.

Taylor was being held at Vaughn Correctional Center near Smyrna in lieu of of $104,500 cash bond.

Keith Cubbage, 37, of the first block of Stevenson Drive, was arrested on an active warrant and for violation of probation, Spicer said.

Cubbage was being held at Vaughn Correctional in lieu of $5,000 cash bond.
