Propane truck ended up on its side on Route 16 east of Greenwood.

GREENWOOD, DELAWARE (2/2/2015) An overturned propane truck forced the closure of Beach Highway (Route 16) east of Greenwood, state police say. The driver was taken to a hospital.

The accident happened about 8:10 a.m. today as the Pep-Up truck was westbound just west of Hunters Cove Road.

The truck went off the north side of the road, then back into the travel lanes and overturned.

The man driving was taken by ambulance to Nanticoke Memorial Hospital in Seaford with injuries described as not life-threatening.

Police said hazmat teams were cleaning up spilled diesel fuel from the truck but there are no reports of propane leaking. The road was closed for more than an hour but DelDOT now reports all lanes are open.
