Police seek witnesses to fatal pedestrian accident in Camden

CAMDEN, DELAWARE (1/27/2015) State police are seeking witnesses to a fatal pedestrian accident in December near Caesar Rodney High School.

David Blow, 55, was struck as he was walking his dog about about 6:55 p.m. Dec. 22. He died three hours later at Bayhealth Kent General Hospital.

Troopers are trying to locate a vehicle that made a left turn onto Old North Road from West Street and passed in front of an eastbound Saturn that struck Blow.

Police said the driver of the Saturn, Kyle Tieman, slowed down to avoid striking the other vehicle on the driver’s side. The vehicle may possibly be a Jeep, with no other description given by witnesses.

Tierman was treated at Bayhealth for injuries and released. A female passenger in his car was not hurt.

Police asked anyone with information to contact Cpl. W. Killen at 302-697-4454, ext. 216.

Tips also may be submitted anonymously through Delaware Crime Stoppers, which offers rewards, at 800-847-3333 or www.tipsubmit.com.
