DELAWARE (1/27/2015) The nor’easter that at one point threatened to dump a foot of snow on Delaware largely passed the state by with little snow.

State offices will open normally this morning and all employees should report, officials announced.

Some schools, however, announced Monday night that they would be closed today, including Caesar Rodney, Capital, Lake Forest, Polytech and Smyrna districts.

The heaviest snow reported in Delaware was 1.2 inches at Blackbird, according to the Delaware Environmental Observing System.

While some more snow may fall before noon today, less than half an inch of additional accumulation is predicted. Skies will then be sunny, with a high temperature of 34 degrees.

A travel ban remains in effect in New Jersey, where Gov. Chris Christie declared a state of emergency.
