HARRINGTON, DELAWARE (1/8/2015) A 23-year-old Harrington man was arrested and charged with burglarizing an apartment building he once lived in, city police said today.

Timothy M. Brown, of the first block of North St., also was charged two counts of theft under $1,500 and possession of drug paraphernalia.

When officers arrived a witness said he had confronted Brown leaving an apartment before Brown fled on foot. The witness knew Brown because he had once lived in the building but was prohibited from being there, Lt. Earl Brode said.

Officers found Brown on Center Street near Second Avenue. A search found stolen property from the apartment, Brode said, and drug paraphernalia.

Brown also was wanted by Kent County Superior Court, according to Brode.

He was being held at Sussex Correctional Institution in lieu of $5,000 cash bail and $4,600 secured bail.
