UPDATED STORY: Suspected in fight at Irish Mike’s bar arrested

DOVER, DELAWARE (1/5/2015) Dover police are looking for a 29-year-old man sought in connection with a fight at a downtown Dover bar, authorities said today.

The fight that started in a bathroom at Irish Mike’s, 107 W. Loockerman St., early Saturday left a 28-year-old man with broken bones and cuts in his face, police said.

Cpl. Mark Hoffman said Joshua Fosmire was identified by witnesses as the assailant after police arrived to find the victim bleeding from the face just before 1 a.m.

Fosmire fled before police arrived.

Warrants for Fosmire were obtained for charges of assault, criminal mischief and disorderly conduct.

Police said a sink was torn from the wall of the restroom during the fight, causing about $750 damage.

The victim was treated at Bayhealth Kent General Hospital.
