NEWARK, DELAWARE (4/15/2015) A city resident was robbed of his cellphone and his apartment was burglarized, Newark police reported today.
The robbery happened about 11:30 a.m. Monday at 28 Marvin Drive.
The resident returned home to find his door wide open and a man standing in the hallway. The man implied he had a weapon and removed the resident’s cellphone from his pocket before fleeing.
Cpl. James Spadola said numerous electronic items were later discovered missing from the apartment.
The burglar was described as black, 35-40 years old, about 6-feet-1 with thin build and a thick mustache.
