31-year-old man shot on Northeast Boulevard in Wilmington

WILMINGTON, DELAWARE ( 6/22/2016) A 31-year-old man was flown to Christiana Hospital after a shooting this morning at East 30th Street and Northeast Boulevard, according to Wilmington police.

The victim was shot in the neck about 10:20 a.m. and was treated by New Castle County paramedics, then flown to the hospital in Stanton by Delaware State Police helicopter in stable condition.

The victim was sitting in a Chevrolet Camaro sports car on Northeast Boulevard, in front of the U-Haul business, when another vehicle pulled up alongside and someone inside opened fire, firing multiple shots, according to reports from the scene.

City police are still investigating and anyone with information is asked to call Detective L. Hageman at 302-576-3630.
