NEW CASTLE, DELAWARE (8/7/2015) Four men have been charged with first-degree murder in the death of a man in the Collins Park neighborhood near New Castle last week, authorities said today.
Isaias Gonzalez, 29, was shot to death July 29 in the 300 block of Martin Drive.
New Castle County police and the state Attorney General’s Office said the fatal shooting followed a home invasion in the 900 block of Maryland Ave. in Wilmington on July 28 and the victim of that robbery knew Gonzalez.
Those charged today:
- Timane Dollard , 24, of the first block of Nursey Drive in Wilmington.
- Dameir Walker, 23, of the 1000 block of Lombard St. in Wilmington.
- Miguel Taylor, 24, of the 300 block of W. 29th St. in Wilmington.
- Marquivus Hardy, 24, of the 1300 block of Reed St. in Wilmington.
All were being held without bail at Young Correctional Center in Wilmington.
They also were charged with first-degree attempted murder, first-degree robbery, possession of a firearm during commission of a felony, two counts of first-degree reckless endangering and second-degree conspiracy, with $234,000 secured bail set on those counts.
The four were identified through a joint investigation by county and Wilmington police, led by Detective Hector Garcia of county police and Deputy Attorney General Colleen Norris.
Officer First Class Tom Jackson, a county police spokesman, said the investigation is ongoing and more information may be released next week.
