BEAR, DELAWARE (4/22/2018) Delaware State police are trying to figure out what caused a car to drive into a retention pond on U.S. 40 near Route 7, at the Eden Square shopping center.
According to reports from the scene, the driver was able to get out of the vehicle and was taken by ambulance to Christiana Hospital in Stanton for treatment of hypothermia and other injuries.
The crash happened shortly after 6 a.m. Saturday.
