Wilmington fire causing I-95 backups

WILMINGTON, DELAWARE (4/13/2018) An apartment fire in Wilmington is causing backups on Interstate 95, authorities said.

The Delaware Department of Transportation reports delays in the right northbound lane, with the Adams Street exit closed due to the fire.

City police said at 6:48 a.m. today the Wilmington Fire Department was battling the fire in the 1000 block of N. Adams St., and Adams was closed to traffic at 10th Street.

Police said heavy delays are expected in the area.
