22-year-old man shot to death in Wilmington

Wilmington police solicited tips from neighbors after man was shot to death in 100 block of N. Broom St. (Photo: Delaware Free News)WILMINGTON, DELAWARE (3/14/2018) A 22-year-old man was shot to death in Wilmington early today, city police said.

The shooting happened about 2 a.m. in the 100 block of N. Broom St.

Police called to the scene found the man suffering from several gunshot wounds to his torso and he was unresponsive.

Officers began life-saving measures, and emergency medical crews took over and the man was taken by ambulance to Wilmington Hospital. He was pronounced dead at 2:35 a.m.

The victim’s name has not been released.
