WILMINGTON, DELAWARE (12/17/2017) A 20-year-0ld man shot on Saturday night later died of his wounds, Wilmington police said.
The shooting happened about 7:46 p.m. in the 800 block of Vandever Ave.
Police said this morning identified the victim as Keanan Samuels of Wilmington.
He was wounded in the face and neck area when several shots were fired.
Officers began first aid and he was treated by New Castle County paramedics before being taken by ambulance to Christiana Hospital in Stanton, where he was pronounced dead.
Police said they have no suspect information.
Wilmington police reported another shooting shortly before 6 a.m. today. The victim was walking to a gas station in the 1700 block of Thatcher St. when he was struck in the back.
