Man shot to death in Wilmington is identified

WILMINGTON, DELAWARE (12/6/2017) A 29-year-old man shot to death in Wilmington on Tuesday has been identified, city police said.

The shooting happened about 1:35 a.m. in the 800 block of N. Jackson St.

Police said the victim, Shawn Lockhart, was investigating a noise at the rear of his home and was struck in the torso when a shot was fired through the rear door from outside.

Officers found Lockhart unconscious and performed CPR, and aid was provided by New Castle County paramedics but he died of his injury.
