STANTON, DELAWARE (11/13/2017) Fire destroyed a concession stand at the Stanton-Newport Little League complex, authorities said.
The fire was reported at 2:44 a.m. Sunday at 1800 Limestone Road, near the Stanton Middle School.
The 20 by 40 foot building was engulfed in flames when Mill Creek firefighters arrived, said Michael G. Chionchio, assistant state fire marshal.
He said investigators from the Delaware state Fire Marshal’s Office are still trying to determine how the fire started.
Damage was estimated at $50,000.
