18-year-old man shot in legs in Wilmington

WILMINGTON, DELAWARE (10/21/2017) An 18-year-old man was wounded in both legs this morning, according to city police.

The shooting happened about 8:30 a.m. in the 1600 block of W. Fourth St.

At least two shell casings were visible on the ground, according to reports from the scene

Initial reports had indicated the man was shot in the torso.

He was treated at the scene by New Castle County paramedics, then taken to St. Francis Hospital in stable condition, police said.

Police cordoned off the area as they investigated, but said they had found no witnesses and had no suspect information.
