25-year-old man wounded in Wilmington shooting

WILMINGTON, DELAWARE (9/26/2017) A 25-year-old man was wounded in a shooting late Monday in Wilmington, city police said.

The shooting was reported at 11:08 p.m. in the 2600 block of N. Harrison St.

The victim suffered wounds to his left arm and left side of his torso.

He was treated at the scene by New Castle County paramedics, then taken by ambulance to Christiana Hospital in Stanton. Police said he underwent surgery and they were not able to interview him.

The suspect in the shooting was described as a light skinned black male, about 6-feet to 6-feet-2.
