WILMINGTON, DELAWARE (7/11/2017) A home theater installer has been charged in the theft of about $10,000 in jewelry in the Westover Hills community north of Wilmington, and New Castle County police said this morning they think there may be other victims.

Daniel Holmes, 43, of Lansdown Court in Elkton, Maryland, was arrested Saturday and charged with felony theft and receiving stolen property.

Police said the theft occurred in the first block of Westover Road while Holmes was working as a technician installing equipment.

“Police have located evidence which leads them to believe that Daniel Holmes may have stolen from other, as of this time unreported, victims. He has been installing home theater systems for about 15 years,” Officer First Class John Paul Piser said.

He urged anyone who had Holmes working in their home to account for valuables.

If anything is found missing or if anyone has other information. Piser asked residents to call police at 302-573-2800.

Holmes was released on $3,000 unsecured bail.
