50-year-old man wounded in Wilmington shooting

WILMINGTON, DELAWARE (5/15/2017) A 50-year-old man was wounded in a shooting in Wilmington on Sunday, according to reports from the scene.

The shooting happened about 8 p.m. at A and North Chapel streets, in the Southbridge neighborhood.

Police alerted to the shooting found the victim suffering from wounds to his legs and lower back.

He was treated at the scene by New Castle County paramedics and taken by ambulance to Christiana Hospital in Stanton, police said, in stable condition.
