Streets reopened in Wilmington after suspicious package cleared

WILMINGTON, DELAWARE (11/2/2016) All streets have been reopened downtown this morning after the city police bomb squad determined a suspicious package was harmless, authorities announced.

The 800 block of North French Street had been closed in both directions and West Eighth Street was closed from King to Walnut streets, police announced at 8:48 a.m.

The street reopening was announced at 9:20 a.m.

Police have not released details on the suspicious package.
