HARRINGTON, DELAWARE (10/14/2016) A 43-year-old Maryland man was killed Thursday night in a single-vehicle crash west of Harrington, the Delaware State Police said this morning.
The crash happened about 8 p.m. on Burrsville Road (Road 112) near Parker Road.
Police said Ronald W. Geaman Jr., 43, of Henderson, Maryland, was driving a 1994 Chevrolet Camaro northbound approaching a right curve when he lost control and went off the west side of the road.
The Camaro.l struck a utility pole, then spun around and hit a mailbox, fence and tree.
Geaman was taken by state police helicopter to Bayhealth Kent General Hospital in Dover, where he died a short time later.
Police said speed was a contributing factor in the crash.
Geaman had been wearing a seat belt, police said.
Burrsville Road was closed about three hours as police investigated and the wreckage was cleared.
