Shell gas station on U.S. 40 robbed

NEW CASTLE, DELAWARE (9/6/2016) A Shell gas station on U.S. 40 west of New Castle was robbed Monday evening, Delaware State Police reported today.

The robbery at 841 Pulaski Highway happened about 7:50 p.m.

A man about 20-30 years old used an unknown cutting instrument when he demanded cash from a female clerk, police said.

She turned over money from the register and he fled on foot to the east. No one was injured.

The robber was described as white and 5-feet-7 to 5-feet-9. He was wearing a gray T-shirt, black shorts, black and white sneakers, and a black hat.
