1 driver trapped in Wilmington crash; other flees

WILMINGTON, DELAWARE (8/21/2016) One driver was trapped in a car for 30 minutes this morning after colliding with an SUV in Wilmington, according to reports from the scene.

The crash happened about 5:30 a.m. on Pennsylvania Avenue at North Broom Street.

Wilmington firefighters freed the trapped driver from the car in about 30 minutes, with CPR in progress.

The driver of the other vehicle, a black SUV, fled the scene on foot.

Wilmington police are investigating the crash.
