2 taken to hospital after Wilmington fire

WILMINGTON, DELAWARE (8/12/2016) A man and a woman were taken to a hospital for smoke inhalation after fire broke out this morning in a building at 305 W. Sixth St. in Wilmington, according to reports from the scene.

The fire about 8:30 a.m. was in a home that had been converted to apartments.

Smoke was showing when city firefighters arrived, and there was extensive damage before the blaze was put under control.

The fire also extended to a neighboring home.

The city Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating.
