SMYRNA, DELAWARE (8/1/2016) A Wilmington man is being sought for intentionally striking a woman with a vehicle, Smyrna police said Sunday.
The incident happened about 12:40 a.m. Wednesday at the Salvation Army store parking lot, 16 E. Mount Vernon St.
The woman suffered serious trauma to her lower extremities and was admitted to a hospital for treatment, Cpl. Brian M. Donner said.
The vehicle fled but police determined Jarmall Williams, 38, of Todds Lane, also known to use the name James Williams, was the driver, Donner said.
Police have an arrest warrant charging Williams with first-degree assault, first-degree reckless endangering, leaving the scene of a collision resulting in injury, driving while suspended, reckless driving and failure to report a collision resulting in injury.
