DOVER, DELAWARE (7/19/2016) Police now say the deaths of a man and woman along Dover’s southern border were a murder-suicide and have released their names.
The man was killed early Monday when he stepped into traffic on U.S. 13 at Webb’s Lane, within Dover city limits.
Police found the victim’s vehicle in a nearby Wendy’s Restaurant parking lot with the engine still running.
When city officers went to notify the victim’s wife of her husband’s death hours later, they found her dead in a bedroom of their apartment at the Alder Park Apartments on Webbs Lane just outside the city.
Delaware State Police are investigating her death.
The woman was identified as Wislene Volcy Deborne, 25, and the man as Pierre Rubens Volcy, 36, both of Dover.
Their 2-year-old son was taken from the apartment to Bayhealth Kent General Hospital but found to have no injuries, state police said.
He was turned over to the Delaware Division of Family Services.
