Tossed bottle damages firetruck

NEWARK, DELAWARE (7/16/2016) A tossed bottle damaged an Aetna Hose, Hook & Ladder Fire Company truck, Delaware State Police said Friday.

The incident happened as the truck was responding to a call for service about 10 p.m. Thursday.

The tossed bottle shattered the windshield of the 1997 truck as it was being driven on West Chestnut Hill Road near University Drive.

No one riding on the truck was injured.

Police said no arrest has been made and asked anyone with information to call  Cpl. Jacquelyn Reed at 302-633-5000.
