BRIDGEVILLE, DELAWARE (7/14/2016) A 33-year-old man required hospital treatment after a home invasion southeast of Bridgeville, the Delaware State Police said Wednesday.
The incident happened about 1:55 a.m. in the 11000 block of Iris Field Lane.
Two masked intruders, armed with handguns, forced their way in and demanded cash.
When the victim said he didn’t have any, he was struck in the back of his head with a gun and then kicked while on the ground.
The intruders then removed an undisclosed amount of money and fled.
The victim was taken by a relative to a local hospital, treated and released.
Police said they think the man was targeted and the home invasion wasn’t a random act.
The two intruders were only described as black males.
