SEAFORD, DELAWARE (7/1/2016) A 38-year-old woman was shot southwest of Seaford early today, Delaweare State Police said.
The shooting happened about 12:15 a.m. in the 5600 block of Byard Ave., near the Woodland Ferry.
Troopers responding to a 911 call about shots fired found the victim with a single gunshot wound to her upper torso.
She was flown to an area hospital for treatment of her injury, which police said was not life-threatening.
