BEAR, DELAWARE (6/4/2016) A 50-year-old woman struck by a car on U.S. 40 in Bear was taken to a hospital in serious condition, authorities said.
The incident happened about 1:25 p.m. at Pulaski Highway (U.S. 40) and Wellington Drive.
The woman was treated for leg and head injuries, then taken by ambulance to Christiana Hospital in Stanton, said Sgt. Abigail E. Haas of New Castle County paramedics.
Delaware State Police are investigating.
Christiana Fire Company also responded.
