MILLSBORO, DELAWARE (5/29/2016) A woman’s scream startled an intruder early Saturday during a home invasion north of Millsboro, the Delaware State Police reported this morning.

The incident happened about 1:35 a.m. in the 20,000 block of Mrs. Catherine Lane.

Police said the 28-year-old woman was sleeping in the living room with her three sons, ages 5, 8 and 9, when she awoke to find a masked male standing over her with a handgun.

He ordered her to another room but she refused, and then one of her sons awoke and she screamed for him to run out of the house, police said.
