WILMINGTON, DELAWARE (4/27/2016) A driver was trapped in the wreckage when his car struck a steel utility pole on the Washington Street Bridge late Tuesday night, according to reports from the scene.
The crash happened about 11 p.m.
Wilmington firefighters freed the driver and CPR was in progress when he was taken by ambulance to Wilmington Hospital.
City police are investigating the accident.
