GLASGOW, DELAWARE (4/23/2016) Three people were injured, one of them seriously, when a pickup truck and car collided in Glasgow on Friday afternoon, authorities said.

The crash happened about 3:25 p.m. at Pleasant Valley Road and Old Baltimore Pike.

A 23-year-old woman driving the car was trapped inside and it took firefighters from Aetna Hose, Hook & Ladder Company of Newark about 20 minutes to cut open the vehicle to get her out.

She was treated for a leg injury and possible head injury, then taken by ambulance to Christiana Hospital in Stanton in serious condition, said Cpl. Abigail E. Haas of New Castle County paramedics.

A passenger in the car, a man believed to be in his 20s, was taken by ambulance to Christiana with minor injuries.

The driver of the pickup, a 60-year-old man, also was taken to the hospital with minor injuries, Haas said.

The crash is under investigation by Delaware State Police.
