DOVER, DELAWARE (3/23/2016) One suspect was arrested and another is being sought after a man was stabbed multiple times, Dover police said Tuesday.
The crime happened about 7:20 p.m. Monday in the 100 block of S. Bradford St.
The victim was sitting on a set of steps when he was attacked by two juveniles and stabbed in the chest, back, neck, and head, Master Cpl. Mark Hoffman said.
“The attack was stopped by police within seconds as two officers pulled onto S. Bradford Street for an unrelated disorderly person complaint. The officers immediately took action and both suspects fled on foot,” Hoffman said.
He said Kyree Robinson, 17, was taken into custody a short distance away and charged with second-degree assault, possession of a deadly weapon during commission of a felony, second-degree conspiracy and resisting arrest.
Robinson was being held at a juvenile detention center in lieu of $31,500 secured bond.
“The victim was hospitalized overnight at Bayhealth Kent General Hospital for his injuries and he is expected to make a full recovery,” Hoffman said.
