NEWARK, DELAWARE (3/20/2016) A 20-year-old man died Saturday after falling from a third-story roof in the 100 block of W. Main St., Newark police said.
The incident happened shortly before 4 p.m.
City police, New Castle County paramedics and Aetna Hose, Hook & Fire Company arrived to find the man unresponsive.
He was taken by ambulance to Christiana Hospital, where he later died, Sgt. Gerald J. Bryda said.
The man, from Massachusetts, was not a University of Delaware student but university police were on the scene providing access to victim and counseling services, Bryda said.
