2 suspects in Dover Inn robbery arrested

DOVER, DELAWARE (3/15/2016) Two of three suspects in a robbery at the Dover Inn have been arrested, city police said this morning.

Three robbers fled out a rear window of a hotel room after the crime happened about 5:15 a.m. Sunday at 428 N. DuPont Highway (U.S. 13).

The victims described the trio as black males, one with a handgun and carrying a rifle,  Master Cpl. Mark Hoffman said.

No injuries were reported.

On Monday, police arrested the two suspects following a traffic stop.

Marquis Harris, 20, of the 400 block of Northdown Drive in Dover, and Darren Tolson, 21, who police said was homeless, were both charged with first-degree robbery, possession of a firearm during commission of a felony and second-degree conspiracy.

They were being held at Vaughn Correctional Center near Smyrna in lieu of $80,400 secured bond each.
