Man injured in Newport Gap Pike crash

BRANDYWINE SPRINGS, DELAWARE (3/10/2016) A 30-year-old man was injured in a crash early today, authorities said.

The accident happened about 1:40 a.m. at Newport Gap Pike and Faulkland Road.

The victim was found unresponsive in the vehicle with abdominal, head and extremity injuries, said Time David J. McKinney Jr. of New Castle County paramedics.

He was treated at the scene, then taken by Mill Creek Fire Company ambulance to Christiana Hospital in Stanton, McKinney said, in stable condition.

Delaware State Police are investigating the crash.
