WILMINGTON, DELAWARE (3/1/2016) A demonstration was held Monday at the Carvel State Building in downtown Wilmington calling for Gov. Jack Markell to take action on racism and discriminatory practices in state government.

The protest, held on the last day of Black History Month, was conducted by a coalition of African American leaders and other concerned citizens.

According to the coalition leadership, the state has a “zero tolerance anti-discrimination policy” but it hasn’t been enforced.
