Police release name of 53-year-old man found dead in Belltown

BELLTOWN, DELAWARE (3/1/2016) Delaware State Police have released the name of a 53-year-old man found dead outside a home in Belltown. Homicide detectives are investigating the death, and police said they suspect foul play.

A neighbor reported the man unconscious next to a camper parked on a property in the 32000 block of Lewes Georgetown Highway (U.S. 9) about 10:15 p.m. Monday.

Ronald H. Johnson, 53, of Lewes, was pronounced dead at the scene by Sussex County paramedics.

Detectives are awaiting results of an autopsy that was conducted Tuesday by the Delaware Division of Forensic Science. Police had no suspect information.
